Pantone Color of the Year 2017: Greenery
New color of the year attempts to rejuvenate and revitalize us amid social and political turmoil

Pantone is doing its part to help lift the mood of the country, and indeed the world, in these tumultuous times. As they do every year, the folks at Pantone name a new color of the year, and those colors tend to turn up in fashion, home interiors, and even graphic design and the web.

This year, Pantone chose a color they call Greenery, a rich shade of green that is reminiscent of plant life and nature. The color, also known as Pantone 15-0343, is from their Fashion, Home and Interiors color specifications guide. For graphic designers, the closest match is Pantone 376C from the Solid Coated swatch book, though I find the CMYK equivalent C:51% M:9% Y:88% K:0% a closer representation.

Check out their article on their color pick to get more insight to their choice and the different ways you can implement this color.
